Three Mackerel Pub - FolkestoneThis is a pub along the harbour in Folkestone, been in there a few times for drinks but only eaten in there recently.
The menu was pretty much made up of fresh fish which was great, there were other things such as ploughmans, sausage and mash etc...
I chose the line caught mackerel with new potatoes and salad and Daniel chose the cumberland sausages and mash. The mackerel came out with all heads and tails intact which was a bit weird but once I cracked on with getting to the meat it was delicious... It was really moist and very moorish! They served two on the plate and I thought I'd struggle but they soon got eaten, they were the best mackerel I've ever had. Daniel said his sausage and mash were nice too.
The bill was pretty reasonable, the mackerel was £5.25 which I thought was good value for money, it was a huge plate and all fresh ingredients. I think the sausages were £6.75 or something.
If you're ever in Folkestone, I'd eat here!
