Seasonal FoodsThis web site is quite good for giving details of foods in season and some recipe ideas.

That'll be really useful Gwen, thanks. I get my organic veggie/fruit box delivered once a week, so a lot of what I use is chosen for me, but I admit I'm never too sure about what's in season and when. Well, it does get confusing, doesn't it when you can get strawberries and the like all year round nowadays.

Where do you get your veg boxes from Elaine?
I was using Riverford for a while but I found the produce was going a bit down hill so I've stopped using them at the moment.

I'm still with riverford-they went through a spell of lots of cabbages and leeks(which I didn't mind too much)-and avocado pears (of which I'm not too fond-and nobody else likes). However, they've livened up a bit again, which is a relief. There's quite a few box schemes around in this part of the world so I should really check the other ones out, and see what they're like.
