Salad dressingsWith summer on it's way I try to eat as many salads as possible, but it can be a bit boring! Any ideas for home-made dressings that are quick but tasty!
At the moment I tend to use the following ingredients or variations of this (ingredients to taste)
Olive oil
Balsamic vinegar
Runny honey
Wholegrain mustard
Seasoning

Sometimes I like to have a bit of sweet chilli sauce on mine or a bit of mint sauce mixed with vinegar.

I don't tend to dress salads (the waistline, ladies!!) but find some chopped fresh herbs really pep it up - and I have a thing about tasty little extras like those sweet peppers in a jar, capers or sun dried tomatoes ... just a teeny bit makes a difference and keeps me interested...

This is my favourite :D , but not to everyones taste I know
Get a nice big pile of mixed salad leaves, chop up smallish and tip about a third of a tin of hot baked beans on and give it a stir  yummy
Sometimes I really push the boat out and crumble a little blue cheese on top, but thats for special occasions

Jan I've really got to try that one. Suspect it could be rather tasty!
Another exrtra which perks up salads comes ready prepared in small tubs-either (supposedly) bacon or onion crispy bits. Not sure that they contain either bacon or onion(!), but they are rather nice!
