RISI Forum Problems

Hi, is anybody else having problems logging on to the RISI forum today, I have been trying and keep getting an error page. I can go to the main swap site ok, it's just the forum I am having problems with. :smt024
patweb

Just tried it Shona. Can't get in either.
frangipani

Phew, thought maybe my computer was going wrong!
MissMuppet

Me neither... something's gone pear shaped!
frangipani

At least I'm not the only one.... I am having withdrawals though! :error:
MissMuppet

Well it means I might get out to work quicker than normal... hehe!

Hopefully everyone will come over here and chat, might get some more members if it's down for a bit!
frangipani

Think I will take some coffee back to bed and have a read, it's a good excuse for a lazy morning!
Windy Wendy

I agree with you Jo - I have loads to do this morning and have to leave at 12.30 on the dot and the RISI forum would be far too distracting. Got withdrawal symptoms though - hence having a look on here!
sparkymarky

sarah couldn't get on it either-msned vic thinking it was mw while i was still in bed-i just tried and in same boat, perhaps they are updating couple of things...????
MissMuppet

Oh well, let's hope it's up and running by the time I get to work as I don't have anything to do today!
shanzi

I could not get on it either - probably a good thing - I can get on with the admin that is piling up.
annecater

Having problems here too. Have felt a bit guilty this week for not visiting the foodie forum much, so will go and check out what's been happening.
shropshireblue

I can't get on there too. They must be working on it, but if they knew it was going to be down, they would've notified everyone, so hope it's okay and will be up & running soon!!
Windy Wendy

Perhaps the server fell over again. Poor thing, should take more water with it!

MissMuppet

It's like a limb has been cut off, I don't know what to do with myself... besides the fact I do need to pack stuff up today and go and deliver things to people! Hope it's back later...
frangipani

Think I will go and do a food shop, fancy a nice crusty baguette with cheese and onion on for lunch.

Hehe I was going to add that I don't mind the onion breath afterwards - the sandwich is well worth it
rhinoskeeter

hello... another refugee here... missed you guys.

At least it's made me sign up Jo to your forum, although it will only make me hungry. I must tell my friend Abby about this place...

Anyways, both me, melliphant and JB can't get on either. :smt087 I did email RISI support this morning to let them know, just in case it wasn't their doing. Heard nothing back yet, but I didn't expect them to.

Still on the plus side I've got lots of stuff to do as we are having a bit of a move around this week and I've got lots of clutter to move upstairs and I'm getting more done without the forum to distract me.
smiler07

I'm missing every body help!!!
I tried to get onto your forum earlier Jo to ask if anyone else was having probs but couldnt remember the link and then suddenly wondered whether anything was posted on the old forum about it and there was the link, hurrah!!

You know what though.....I've got loads of work done today!

Sparks, tell Vic that she should have said hello to me! I knew it was too early for you to be up!
MissMuppet

I can't believe it's still not working, and on my last day of work as well!! Am off to lunch with that guy shortly, he's popping over at 12 to go through some work stuff then we're going to lunch...
frangipani

Hope the lunch goes well Jo....!
manda

have fun jo..
finally got back in here, and changed my password so i can get in again :D
dingsy

Have a lovely lunch Jo. Am waiting on tenterhooks for Brian to arrive home-he's driving back from Salisbury early. He cut himself this morning in the shower and has needed 6 stitches in the base of his fingers  I suggested he should get the train back, leaving the car there till he goes back next week-but he's driving. Have to say, my stomach is churning at the thought of him driving like this.

Oh no Elaine, hugs for you both, and I am sure he will be home safe in no time xxx
dingsy

Hope so Shona. He sounded very shaken when he phoned though. 6 stitches from a soap dish!!!!

A soap dish, how did that happen?
dingsy

He bumped it with his head and broke it (it was ceramic). As it fell, he instinctively tried to catch it, rather than risk it damaging the shower tray. Blood everywhere: he had to get someone to come and help him dress (although only after he got into his boxers!!), and bandage it.
frangipani

Oh no! Hope it gets better soon, maybe he should stick to the plastic pump dispensers of soap from now on! xx
frangipani

RISI seems to be working again now! :D
Nannyp

How is Brian Elaine? I'm sure he got home safely.
:D
dingsy

He arrived back 20 minutes or so ago, thanks Kathy. The cut goes through to the bone, but there is fortunately no nerve damage. The hotel owner was mortified, and very embarassed about it all. Have to say, Brian looks drained-think he was a tad irresponsible driving, but he stopped twice for a coffee. It's also his right hand-and fortunately he's left-handed, so coped better than most under the circumstances. Don't think he'll be finishing the garden off this weekend, nor tinkering with his sports car....
Nannyp

Sounds like he'll need some TLC and some time to recover. Big hugs from me...... :D

Hope everyone is fine & dandy.

Grrr at forum. I need to reply to a PM as well. Has anyone let admin know???
Windy Wendy

I have been browsing the Latest Books as we can't get on Forum. I see someone has listed The Book Thief - I bet they will inundated with requests for it.
frangipani

Good idea!
MissMuppet

I'm going to clear out my old clothes and shoes and take them to the charity shop... been meaning to do it for weeks!! I have a horrible caffiene headache as I drank coke over the weekend and now I've had this headache since last night... Somedays I wonder why I gave up caffiene in the first place!!
dingsy

Noticed an advert on TV last night for a gel to apply for headaches-called, I think "4 heads"-might be worth a try. Hope you shake it off soon. It might also be being exacerbated by stress, so maybe a camomile tea or two would help.
Jerseygirl

I have been ironing... thanks to RISI being down
Windy Wendy

Jerseygirl

Usually when I have caffiene withdrawal headaches nothing touches them, I just have to wait it out or drink caffiene!

Right off to do some clearing out, and maybe some packing!
rhinoskeeter

still down then... just been to Tescos and was very good and didn't buy at least 20 books that I wanted or liked the look of.

Had a very unhealthy Burger king whopper as well. Tasted quite nice tho. At least I might finish the book I'm reading today and get into another before the day is over without the RISI forum distracting me.

Shona... yes today has been lovely, but better than yesterday and hubby as been on his best behaviour.
MissMuppet

I managed to get rid of 4 big bags of clothes, shoes and bags over to the charity shop... Now I need to get under my bed properly and see what else I can chuck away!!! :D

Oh and I couldn't buy any books in the charity shop as I didn't have any money in my purse, what a result...
MissMuppet

It's back!!!

i find migraine patches work wondors-they contain a kind of gel and you stick them to your forehead after cutting to size and they are cold but always work on even my worst migraines.....i find that i need to have a doze with them on though to work-or at the very least lie down and close my eyes(which isn't a problem as most migraine sufferers willl know that during a bad attack it can even hurt even being near a very dim light)

if u want i will check the brand etc tomorrow and post it on here for any sufferers-like i say these are the only things that seem to work for me....
manda

can`t believe it`s gone again...
new forum`s not a morning person...... :D
MissMuppet

I spoke to admin yesterday and this is what Andrew said:
There's slight issue with some coding that Neil hasn't had a chance to fix yet and I think he was busy with his day job all morning so couldn't reset the database until later on!

Hopefully it will be sorted soon, but until then I think we have to be patient as the guys have paid jobs too... :D
shanzi

Have you realised this thread the most posts - we are definitely addicted to RISI!!!!
Jerseygirl

RISI forums are down AGAIN! Bring back the old one .... I don't like the new one anyway.
dingsy

There's a whole lot of interesting stuff going on here though, Angie! I'm heading out with Rosie at the moment, but maybe have a look through the hints and tips section and see if you can solve anyone's problems.(Please!)

You never want to go back - its never the same.........I am sure the technical guys on RISI will get it sorted. You are just having withdrawal symptoms.

Wait when I do a 24 hour fast from RISI from midnight tonight. I am already having withdrawals thinking about it!
dingsy

Withdrawal? Never! I've cut back to an hour or two once a week, with no problems whatsoever!
MissMuppet

I've cut back too but probably only due to needing to sort my life out... I'd never get anything done otherwise!
