Red cabbageI have an aversion to any sort of green cabbage (memories of school!) but quite like the red variety and bought half a one in Morrisons this week.
Not sure how to cook it, I found a recipe in an old M+S cook book - chopped it with large baking apple, onion + handful of sultanas, 2 teaspoons sugar, half pint white wine/stock, seasoning and bake covered in oven (180 degrees) for hour. It was really delicious with an old fashioned pork chop + some mustard mash!
Anyone got any other red cabbage ideas I could try?

Can't find any ideas other than the one you already have. I'm on a mission now to find one though!

I'm failing in my mission. Any variation on your recipe has apples included, so suspect that there won't be much difference. Might be a nice addition if you were making coleslaw-but other than that, I think I've reached a dead end...

I always shred green cabbage and stir fry with onion and bacon. That might work with red cabbage too.
