New CheeseletsIt's that time of the year again when the tubs of Jacob's snacks re-appear and I do have a penchant for Cheeselets.I settled down for a quick binge but - What was this?!?! The things in this tub were pale and almost tasteless, like little squares of... well, hard to describe, but not much like the Cheeselets I know and love. 
Inspecting the tub, these are a "New Improved Recipe" - yeah right. Normally, a tub of these are soon devoured in my house, but the only one interested in these, was the dog. In another supermarket I saw a tub which didn't have the "New" tag, so I bought some. Hooray! - these were the ones 
So I compared tubs and you can see the difference here. http://www.youshare.com/view.php?file=CheeseDebate.jpg The new ones come in a taller tub, but the weight in both is 200g. The calories in the traditional ones per 100g=504 compared with the new ones 492. Also the fat and sodium content in the trad ones is slightly higher, (The trad ones are sprinkled with salt but that can be brushed off) and list celery seed, vegetable extracts and spice extracts which the new ones don't - but I'd rather have the taste and eat a few less! Also - see the huge Graffitti cauli I got in Morrisons for 99p - locally grown too.
