Mushrooms

I have some mushrooms that I need to use for tonight's supper.

We've had our main meal, so this is for a lighter meal, bearing in mind we are on "le regime" so miniscule butter if any q9

Now don't all rush...despite the fact I am getting hungry q5

I cook them in milk with a vegatable stock cube then sometimes add creme fraiche the low fat 1 are you allowed that ? I'm guessing you are on a diet ?
Nannyp

Yes, we're on diets. Shhh, don't tell anyone though, or they'll all tell me how to do it q8 q8

I have some 0% Creme Fresh (like bloody water q11 ), so I'll use that and some milk.

Thanks Gilly q9

It's in my recipe book... My wicked step mother gave it to me so I don't have it online, if you want it let me know and I'll type it up over the weekend, it's very nice, I've made it a few times! q5

I know I'm late in answering but have you tried them cooked in a tomato sauce with a hint of chilli.   Easy to do, lightly fry onions till transparent add the tomatoes, some tomato paste and mushrooms, any herbs you might fancy and a hint of chilli - either powder or fresh and let it simmer till the tomato sauce reduces and thickens slightly, then serve with a jacket potatoe.  Nice with grated cheese on top but if you are trying to loose weight cut out the cheese.
