M+S WineWhile other wines are undoubtedly available, and probably at a cheaper price, I'd like to tell you about some crackers I've tried recently in case you miss out.
I'm not usually a white or rose drinker - give me a nice merlot any day - but I've been trying something different. The other night I had a Pinot Grigio called Via Ulivi - they can be a bit tasteless, but this was delicious. The glass in my hand now is Freedom Ridge Californian Pinot Grigio - also very tasty, but probably my number 2 white.
But the roses!! The nicest I've tasted was Terrasota Rose, a Spanish Rose Rioja, absolutely delicious. There's also a Hungarian Rose Pinot Grigio for 50p less - recommended in The Times a couple of weeks back, but I thought not quite on a par with the Terrasota.
All around the £4.99/£5.49 price area as I remember. Well done M+S!!

Our daughter is the rose wine drinker in our family, so think I'll treat her to some-liked the sound of the rioja rose. Prices sound excellent too.
Ah well, another excuse for a mooch around markies food hall! (Anyone tried their peri-peri mayonnaise-yum......)

The riojah sounds good to me. Like you i'm mostly a red wine drinker but like to have the occasional white or rose - specially on a hot summer's day or warm summer evening :D . If we ever get any of those this year!

I used to only drink red but now that gives me a headache so have been drinking white again...
Last night in a pub we went in they're now doing rose on the rocks in these huge glasses, might try that next time I'm out! :D
