La Tasca - WindsorIt was my friends birthday today and we went to a Tapas restaurant in Windsor. It was really nice I felt like I was on holiday. There were 6 of us and we had a selection of tapas about 15 dishes. Here is a link to the menu:
http://www.latasca.co.uk/TAPAS/Tapas.html
We had:
- Patatas Bravas - Very nice, a bit like canarian potatoes with a spicy tomato sauce
- Patatas a la Pobre - Same as above but with onions, peppers and garlic
- Croquetas de Champinones - mushrooms are my favourite veg so loved these
- Pollo al Ajillo - Chicken in a white wine and garlic sauce
- Delicias de Pollo - Chicken in breadcrumbs
- Paella Valenciana - Love paella
- Montado de Lomo - Pork with Paprika and garlic served on toast
- Langostinos a la Plancha - Can't go wrong with prawns
- Fritura Mixta de Pescado - Mixture of fish
- Its not on the menu but we had Monkfish in an orance sauce which was lovely.
After our 15 or so dishes and 2 pitchers of sangria and 2 OJ's (for me, I was driving) it was £91, £16 each, I didn't think that was too bad. Definitely going back!

I love Tapas, all that food sounds lovely... I haven't been for Tapas in ages, and probably won't much when I move back to Kent as there don't seem to be many around.

Sounds lovely-but don't despair, Jo, tapas bars do seem to be getting more popular. We've just had one opened in Exeter(we're always years behind the rest of the country), so looking forwrd to trying it.
Loved the sound of the monkfish in orange-one of my favourite fishes.

I adore Tapas. My favourite kind of food in the world! We are regular visitors to our La Tasca but always have the same dishes. They are too nice to give up to try something new! And the sangria helps

It was La Tasca we went to for our Leeds RISI outing last weekend. Food was excellent - chocolate + orange cheesecake pud highly recommended, and the house wine was quite acceptable too!

I can back Annie up on that, the food was great at La Tasca in Leeds, also the red wine! I think Annie drank the most of it, giggled the most and had the biggest headaches the next day!
