I don't know why I took so long to get one- Iain bought me a Foreman grill for my birthday, and I love it! He'd long extolled the virtues of them, but I continued to use the grill on my oven. Anyhow, now that I have one, it's one of my favourite implements.
Really don't know why I resisited so long. When Brian and I got married, one of out wedding presents was an infra red grill, which looked and did the same thing as Foreman grill, and I loved it then. They then seemed to go out of fashion, until Foreman brought them back.Long live my Foreman grill!

Oh I had one of those red things....but hated the cleaning up. is the Foreman easier to clean?

Although mine doesn't have removable plates, you can apparently get some models which do, which would make cleaning very easy. I find cleaning this one easy enough though. There's a special spatula provided which scrapes off gunk. Do this while it's still warm, and then all that's needed is a wipe with a damp cloth.

Am finding it wonderful for chicken breasts/salmon steaks. Little bit of marinade, and instant meal- tastes good too. Used to use a cast iron trivet but this is much better-and quicker, cooking as it does, both sides simultaneously.

Yes we use ours quite a bit Elaine especially for gammon steaks and pork chops.
It has to be easy to clean because I am the washer and cleaner up in our house.

also on the cannot do without list in my house is my bravoska (cheaper version of the remoska and better in my opinion) and my induction plate and they are both cheaper to use than gas or electric ovens brilliant !!!!

Slow cooker was the other one I used to use regularly-and another one I didn't replace when it finally broke. I can feel a shopping trip coming on.....It will come as no surprise if I say the only things I enjoy shopping for are food/kitchen bits and books!

I got mine from ebay after doing a search for a remoska and seeing the prices in lakeland plastics !!!
anyway I prefer mine as I can cook with the heating element on the top or the bottom (for ideas look at the lakeland site for thier video link)
to cook a full roast I put pots and all the root veg on the bottom and the meat on the top and voila all ready in one pot

I have cooked bread ,cakes,pizzas, quiches etc only problem with it is everything is oval !!!!

freinds dropped by with some buttermilk yesterday and in 20 mins we had fresh scones with no oven heating up either !!! (huge waste of energy)its supposed to use very little energy and my friend even uses one in her camping van (she could not normally use things like this as they would blow the fuse)
induction plate is brilliant as well you are only heating the plate where it actually touches the pan and you can get a rolling boil from cold within seconds !!!! I think they are cheaper to buy here in France but then have not done a recky as mine was 25 euros in the sales !!!

I looked on Ebay .co.uk and couldn't see any Bravoska, just one Remoska.

Maybe i should check out Ebay.fr

I have a remoska had it for years and wouldn't be with out it, might look into the cheaper version as presents for the kids
