Manta Ray a l'Anglaise

Honey and Soy Salmon (Quick & easy)

Found this the other day and made it with a slight adjustment.

1 tbspn wholegrain mustard
2 tspn clear honey
1 tbspn soy sauce

Mix together.

Fry salmon fillets/steaks and when cooked add sauce, mix with pan juices and boil, be careful it doesn't burn.

The recipe had spring onions sliced and in the pan just before the salmon was cooked but I didn't have any so I finely chopped half an ordinary onion and added that instead. It's supposed to serve 4 but greedy pigs that we are we had it between 2, there wasn't a huge amount so for 4 may have been pushing it somewhat........
Serve with plain boiled rice and vegetable of choice

Sounds lovely, and if we'd not had fish pie today, I'd do it tomorrow.  Will do it later in the week though...so easy  q12

yes , it's really nice, I was in a bit of a rush and did the whole thing in under 20 mins. I used salmon steaks - I always buy a whole one when it's half price and then cut it into steaks when I get home.

I gently fried the salmon in a spot of oil and then when it was done took it out of the pan to remove the skin, while it was out I drained off the surplus fat as salmon can be fatty and then added the chopped onion, fried that off a bit and put the salmon back and poured the sauce over, heated it a bit, turned the salmon over and hey ho it's done...... q2

I buy frozen Pacific salmon fillets, as someone once told me these are better and not farmed.

I have never bought a whole salmon, I out to look and compare the cost at the fish counter.
