Homegrown veg!

I'm going to start sorting out the garden next weekend, I am going to attempt to grow some veg...  I'll be doing it in pots/planters though because all I have is paving slabs!

Was going to do carrots, potatoes, tomatoes and runner beans... along with some more herbs!

Any advice would be appreciated as I have never attempted this before.  q9

Good luck-how about some strawberries too?You get such lovely strawberry pots which are quite decorative.

Thanks Dave, I was looking at that website yesterday and missed this!

Have you got a composter Jo?  You can use the bottom contents of this in a layer to provide some good nutrients for your potatoes (once they're chitted).
I bought my seed pots today, Charlotte, as they were wonderful last year, despite having to harvest them all at once because of blight.  Hopefully I can eat them all freshly pulled this year.

I didn't do very well last year, so will be limiting myself to runner beans (who forgot to email me and remind me to send some?!!), potatoes and butternut squash.

I'm my mother's daughter... that means I forget things!  Plus I had further issues at work yesterday to deal with!

I don't have a composter, not sure I can with a concrete back garden?!!
