Holiday eggsWhile on holiday in Cyprus we were in a smallish hotel and my guess is that there were over 1000 eggs used at breakfast alone. All breakfasts done to order and some men had 3 fried eggs but most people had 2. Then of course there was scrambled egg, boiled eggs and pancakes. Now on the short stretch of road that we were on there was about 23 hotels most of them bigger than ours. A rough estimate over a 2km stretch of road would therefore have been at least 23000 eggs for breakfast.
Multiply this for the whole of Paphos plus all the other resort towns it would run into 100`s of thousands on Cyprus. Where do they all come from, and the first one that says hens or chickens gets shot.
This is a semi serious question because I am genuinely curious. By the way seeing the eggs being cooked it is obvious that they are all very fresh.

Chickens... in particualr from their bottoms!!!
Sorry Dave, couldn't resist... I have no idea, maybe they import them in from somewhere! Or maybe they have barns and barns of chickens somewhere on Paphos?!!

I have no idea either. I have never been to Greece, so cannot comment on how they produce their commercial eggs. Probably, as Jo says, they import them from somewhere that does eggs commercially.
You need to try my eggs and you'll taste and see the difference between commercially produced and free range.
