Hi allHello
Just dropping by to say hello to fellow foodies. I love all things foodie, cooking, baking and watch nearly almost all the cookery programmes on TV since we retired here to France.
Looking forward to wading through all the posts here and chucking my two pennorth worth in now and again. 
I have already seen I have a near neighbour here........................HI MOJO..................... I wonder if there are more familiar faces

I don't quite live in France, I am in Jersey and spend a lot of my time in France staying with friends. Where are you?

OK I'm somebody else.......glad that's sorted Mum.
We started off our 'french experience in a tiny hamlet called Couture, not far from Ruffec, in the Charente but have now moved to Montendre in the Maritime which is a busier place and has far more going for it.
Why on earth would you leave Jersey, its beautiful there Jerseygirl. Wanna swap

The grass is always greener I guess!
I don't think I would leave it for ever but love our holdays over there. We have friends in Jarnac , Pons and Angeduc who we visit regularily, last time on 25/8 weekend. Can't be too far from you?

There were 12 of us, all from Jersey although 1 couple live in France full time and 2 other couples have houses there and spend time in both places.
I had foie gras followed by veal and then creme brulee. Far too much wine which was Ok cos we were booked in for the night!

Sounds good apart from the foie gras. Wouldn't touch that.
