I'm really needing to replace mine, and am tempted to go for a Bamix this time around. A bit daunted though, by the price-about £100.

Does anyone have one-and if so, are they as good as the writeups suggest? Or should I just go for a cheaper, but perfectly adequate version?

We don't have a bamix, but my mum used to have one. She used to do loads of cooking, but to tell you the truth she invaraibly used her good old Kenwood chef rather than the bamix. I use a moulinex hand blender, which has now been going strong for over 20 years, and is used very frequently. I havn't felt the need to get anything else.

Thanks lal-suspect that they're overpriced, but was curious to know if anyone has one, and if they're as good as the price would suggest.
