fried green tomatoesCannot remember where I saw you post about these kathy but I gave them a try today and loved them thank you !!!
did tweek them a bit though because you said yours were bitter
sprinkled them with salt pepper and ground garlic the dusted them with polenta
the first batch I first fried lardons and fried the toms in the fat serving the lardions on them ( yummy )
the second batch I fried in the fat from merguez but chorizo would do also yummy but I did prefer the lardons
I cooked them both on the barbie
and guess what my french unsuspecting neighbours are getting tomorrow

Pleased they worked out well Lesley. I think I posted on TF...as I wanted to know what I could use instead of polenta.

I think the chapelure would work just as well or even seasoned flour ( although I might dip them in egg as well for that )
