Easy to swallow...

It's easy for drinks to add to your daily calorie intake. Take this typical day...

Breakfast: 100ml shot of Actimel Original probiotic drink = 72 calories
On the way to work: Starbucks Grande Skinny Latte = 163 calories
Mid Morning: can of Coca-Cola = 139 calories
Lunch: 250ml bottle of Tropicana Orange Juice = 108 calories
At The Gym: 500ml Lucozade Sport = 140 calories
Dinner: large glass of white wine = 132 calories
Throughout the day: 4 mugs of tea, each with 1tsp sugar = 138 calories
Total: 892 calories.

That's almost half the recommended daily calories needed for a woman and more than a third for a man - enough to stop you losing almost 1kg in a week!

Blimey Jo....I'm going to share this with some others q9

This was in my mag... Luckily I don't have typical days anymore but I used to in Croydon!! q9
Nannyp

None of those are typical for me either q3

Nor me. But have noticed the tendency now for so many people to wander around with their takeaway from starbucks in hand. What did they do before?

It's a bit like mobile phones...I often watch people walking along, clutching it to their ear, in deep conversation and wonder what they used to do. I suspect they wouldn't know if you asked them. I feel sorry when I see mothers pushing prams/pushchairs along with mobiles clutched to their ears....noone's talking to the baby q11

Oops, sorry thread drift q8

Scary stuff!! Mind you, drinking diet pop isn't the answer either, as Aspartame can prevent weight loss, even cause weight gain!!

I agree with your thread-drift, NannyP, it's no wonder so many children really struggle at school these days, no-one talking to them, no-one reading them bedtime stories etc. Very sad indeed. q11
