Dinner on SaturdayWe are having 6 friends around for dinner on Saturday (our wedding anniversary) so what do you think of the menu?
Wild mushrooms in filo pastry
Duck breasts on mashed potato with caramelized onions and red wine sauce, served with green beans and honeyed carrots.
Summer fruit jelly and vanilla ice cream
Lots of wine etc.

That sounds like my idea of food heaven Angie... I love all of that, can I come??
Mum made some lovely honeyed carrots when I was over there, how do you make them as I have carrots and honey and fancy making them this week?!!

Of course you can come, is 7.30 OK?
All I do is boil sliced carrots, drain and stir in honey and thyme leaves. There is probably a fancy way but this seems to work.

If only I could come... Dan is coming over Saturday, we plan to go out but if I'm still feeling ill the plans might change.
Will have a go at the carrots though!! Yum!

We had a lovely evening on Saturday, food went down well and lots of compliments. Didn't end up in the hot tub as we were all chatting too much to notice the time and they had taxis booked.
