Cornish Cream Tea - Sue'sHi, after extensive research, the best Cream Tea we came across in Southern Cornwall was on a farm, about 3 miles from the Lizard. Turn off the Helston to Lizard Road (A4083) just after the Cider Barn and it is signposted Sue's Cream Teas. Beware, it is quite a rough road.
She has a few tables set up on the lawn, (and in a shed if it is raining), and serves lovely scones with the obligatory strawberry jam, and lashings of clotted cream. If you value your arteries, don't attempt to finish the cream!
The friendly welcome makes it even better.
Open from 1pm, and worth a detour.
It is a working farm, (they actually supply their milk to Rodda's to make the cream), so there may be the occasional fly or whiff from the cows, but don't let that put you off.
Regards,
White.
