caprice's Butter Chicken (I think)

This is taken from a poached chicken with aioli recipe I also do one with no meat and also use it as a sauce for mussels its absolutely lovely

2 large finely chopped onions
6 cloves of garlic
1 bouquet garni
2 leeks finely chopped
recipe calls for 4 small turnips but I dont like them
2 large carrots
s and p
chicken legs or a turkey thigh if using meat  


fry onions and leeks in a little butter and or oil add the meat to colour
add the veggies
just cover with stock
simmer until cooked
take off the heat and

make up a good cup of aoili slake it down with some of the stock and then add aioli to the stew

for the proper unadulterated recipe look up bourride de volaille

butter chicken is

for 1lb chicken,turkey or pork cubed
tandoori marinade
2ozs butter (not oil)
1 tablsp cumin seeds
pot yog

marinade meat (overnight if poss)
in the tandoori mix and yog
fry cumin seeds in butter and then add the chicken
seve with rice or salad in wraps


tandoori mixture
2 teasps garlic powder
1 teasp ginger
1 teasp chilli
1 teasp dried mint
1 teasp salt
colouring powder if wanted
pot yog
mix and use as a marinade

I know the chicken aioli sounds a bit wierd but trust me its divine mind you so is the butter chicken q5  q5

Is this French (something with garlic?)

its garlic mayo if you dont want to make your own mayo just grate the 6 cloves of garlic into a cup of mayo

Thanks for that...our housesitters left a jar in our fridge last July.  Now I know how to make it, I'll be using it.

its my downfall  q9 a big bowl of aioli (I put extra garlic in) and loads of veg crudites and dunk and eat  q3  q3

Oh dear..so not a good plan for those of us on "le regime!"

I had to succumb  q51  I did chicken wraps with  aioli  q21  q21 but being good today
