Can't remember where I posted this.This is an update on the couple running the restaurant for the up and coming TV show.

In fact, what happens is at the end of each week, they go to the London studios in front of a panel of judges, including Raymond, and they get told how well the judges think they performed overal for that week.
At the end Raymond Blanc said that one couple stood out from all the rest this week.....and that was my BROTHER AND HIS WIFE!!!!
They were very happy, and they got an award....this week the task is who can sell the most desserts and cocktails.
When they got the keys to their restaurant, they were given £5,000 to decorate and change it to their liking, and £2000 to buy food and drink.
They have had to hire all new staff, and create new menus.
They have been fully booked every night...my brother has called the restaurant "8 in the country" the 8 stands for the fact that they serve 8 cousre meals.
My brother sounded over the moon, but very tired, it has all been very stressful, but at the same time loving the experience.
The house that they are all staying in is apparently not Le Manoir, but a huge mansion, and when they entered the house they were told to run and choose their rooms.....and guess what.....my brother picked the biggest and best room, (suite with their own jaccuzi).....now all the other couples want him to get voted off so they can have his suite!
When people go for a meal, they sign a form to say that they don`t mind being filmed, and my brother has said family can go for a free meal, so I think my mother might try to get up that way, and my brother`s CO in the marines is going to be going for a meal!
Well, good luck Jeremy and Jane.....I wish them all the luck in the world, and whatever happens, this will have been a wonderful experience for them! |
