Is there anything I can start off now? I know it's a bit late but most of my veg I planted back in May has been and gone... I just have my tomatoes left, hopefully they'll start turning red soon.

I've been thinking about next year already but I quite fancy doing some more stuff now, if I can...

I'm not sure what you can plant now...you'd best check out some of the self sufficient forums who will have loads of advice.

Not sure how much of your "spent" grobags you can use.

The reason I asked was because I have a brand spanking new grow bag!

Will have a look over the weekend...

Going to the garden centre to spend my vouchers from Elaine this weekend, just haven't been around much to go over there.

I've decided to grow some salady bits in my trough, and am going to plant some more basil and coriander as it seems to have gone a bit weird... I fancy growing leeks but not sure how to go about that, was thinking I could put the grow bag on it's side, although that might not be deep enough.

It should work if you put it on it's side. Maybe you can buy some shorter growing leeks?
