BBQ ideas for vegetarians please

I am supply food for a get together, so far there is 14 Adults and 6 children and I know at least 2 adults are vegetarians, one of which doesn't eat Salad ! I am keeping it simple with sausages and chicken thighs (which will be cooked just to reheat) burgers and some kebabs , can anyone suggest anything ? I have tried bought vege burgers which just disintegrate on cooking :( so either something I can make or a good product to buy TIA :)

Some of the quorn products might bbq ok-but couldn't be too sure. The vege type burgers defintely don't work, but you can get quorn in fillets reather than burger, so you might be ok with that.

Was going to suggest the Quorn products too! They do some really yummy sausages. Also vegetable kebabs are pretty simple, corn on the cob, potato wedges, and if they are vegie but eat fish, you also have a few more options there!

neither of the 2 I know about eat fish :( and one won't eat meat substitutes :( I wondered if I stuff a pepper with goats cheese it would work ? maybe I could have a play with it I love goats cheese and the vege kebabs will work thank you :)

I am not veggie but one of my favourite BBQ foods is Corn on the cob. I par boil them then wrap in foil with a knob of butter and some chilli flakes and then pop them on the grill. Yummy!

I remember as a Girl Guide a million years ago (well feels like it) is bananas in their skin, wrapped in aluminium foil and put in the hot coals of the camp fire - perhaps you could adapt this to the BBQ coals, maybe - and probably do a few tiny jacket potatoes too.

We do these then slice them open and add chocolate, rum and cfeam (or any combination of these)

As have already been mentioned: corn on the cob and veg kebabs are alwasy popular. Quorn do lamb-style cutlets and sausages which might stand up to barbecuing - remember though they really only need to be heated through not cooked to a cinder like meat!

Jacket potatoes are good too - you could do hot fillings to go with them like veg curry or chilli whcih could be kept warm on a camping stove or one of those food warmers with the night lights inside.

Thanks for the tips but it is a bit too complicated too make jacket pots and fillings the BBQ is intended weather permitting at the end of a day canoeing and rafting on a Lake shore where everything has to be carried about 100m so really everything needs to be packed in cool boxes and be cooked quite quickly that is why we boil the sausage and chicken portions in stock first also cuts down the chance of Food poisoning ! and as I explained 1 will not eat meat substitutes so the quorn is out :( and after an energetic time everyone will be starving we are not going to bother with sweet stuff just a few marshmallows to grill
we will have all the rafting stuff to move and the canoes don't want to spend too much time ferrying stuff from the car park
