Alternative to battered fish

I made Battered Fish yesterday, using Polenta instead of the usual batter.
It's much nice, and less fatty/greasy/heavy than traditional Fish and Chip shop batter.

2 pieces of White Fish (your choice)
2 tbs Plain Flour
Salt/Pepper to season
1 beaten egg
4-6 tbs Polenta
50ml Olive Oil

Dry the fish with kitchen paper.
Put seasoned flour into the lid of a casserole, or dish.  The same with the egg, and the same with the polenta.
Lightly coat the fish in the season flour, quickly dip into the egg and then toss in the polenta.
Fry gently in olive oil until golden brown and the fish is cooked.

You can serve with chips etc.  We had it with garlic and olive oil mash and roasted broccoli.

I made this again yesterday....it really is nice and lighter than batter, and easier for me at least, than breadcrumbs.

Has anyone any other ideas for polenta?
