Found this today and thought I'd link it here.

http://www.tesco.com/health/food/...s/essential_foods/superfoods.html

Of the foods listed, I am pleased to say we eat 9 of them reasonably regularly and now we are on "le regime" will be eating many more q9

Then I thought I'd add some more links, as I am looking around.

Well, we've had our main meal today. Tonight we'll graze on hummus, carrots, red, peeled peppers, walnuts (form the garden), tomato and beetroot q12

Do you just peel the raw peppers - is there an easy way? I usually score and blanche or grill peppers to take off the tough skin (unless baking them of course).

I used to do that, it takes ages, although they are nice. Some kind person then told me that you can buy them, whole and ready peeled in jars in Lidl's. We have Lidl's in France and our nearest is half an hour away, so every so often I go and buy a few jars. Beetroot is very popular here, it is often sold grated in different sized tubs to eat along with salad and in vacuum packs of 4. So, I have a couple of vacuum packs in the fridge.
Kilos of walnuts collected last month, just take a little cracking etc.

I wonder whether Lidl's in the UK sell them?
