If you are searching for a place to have a quiet cup of coffee and a piece of cake amid the hustle and bustle of St Ives, then Olives is worth a look.
There was a small sign pointing up some steps to Olive's which is on Island Square (TR26 1NX), and we found it more or less by accident. There are only a few tables, some outside, and the coffee is indeed very good. The homemade cakes looked and tasted wonderful and if the chocolate cake is available, (served with clotted cream and a strawberry), that would be my first choice!
Service was very friendly, but the peace and quiet was even better.
(St Ives is NOT my favourite place!)
Hope that helps someone,
Regards,
White. |
