Went yesterday for lunch with a few friends and what a lovely meal. It only opend in the summer but already seems to be getting a regular clientelle.
As the name suggests it is Italian influenced, not too large and only opens on Sundays if he has bookings.
To start I had roasted piglet in lemon and pesto sauce served with bruschetta bread. Main course was grilled king prawns & salmon fillet in marinated garlic vegatables with a lemon dressing. To finish a fan of ice cream (real italian). All this accompanied by a glass of lovely Montepulciano and a final cup of coffee.
Mrs Davbro had the same starter and sweet but had a steak main course and it was perfectly cooked on the rare side of medium. She also had 2 glasses of wine and the bill was a reasonable £62.
The portions were not huge but did not leave feeling peckish.
Absolutely delicious will go there again. |
