It may be quite a large chain, but we had a lovely, leisurely lunch at our local branch. The table was literally covered with an assortment of tapas, salads and bread. Particularly worth mentioning was the lamb casserole, which was so tender that it literally melted in the mouth. The king prawns with chili and garlic soon disappeared! I was the only taker for the aubergine topped with cheese and tomato-and although I ate it, it could have been better-perhaps the only disappointing dish from the 22 dishes we had!!
Desserts were lovely too-I had the gluten free walnut and orange cake, whilst the others all opted for the yummy cinammon and pear tart. I tried to tempt them all towards the churros, which they would have loved, but no takers for that one. Only two for coffee, which brought the bill for 5 of us to just over £100-so at £20 a head , pretty good value. The service was excellent-attentive without rushing us. Such a pity the location isn't better-it's in the new shopping centre, and how lovely it would be if it were sited down by the river. But they'll do very well I suspect, and we'll certainly be returning.
