I'm not sure if all Debenhams are doing this offer but this is what happened to me today...

I was wandering around looking for shoes and over the loudspeaker a guy was saying how they were giving away a FREE paring knife to all customers that would watch a knife demonstration. So liking free things I went over and was amazed...

The demonstration was for a knife that stays sharp forever, it never needs resharpening. He tested it on a metal hammer, a wooden board and then continued to chop a tomato thinly with it.

So the offer... £24.99 for the knife, another knife (the same) for £5.01, 2 free paring knives, a fillet knife (again stays sharp) and 2 free gourmet juicers which he also demonstrated! And another of the original knives for FREE! All for £30!!!! And also got the free paring knife and another juicer for watching the demo!

I had a £30 Debenhams gift card for my birthday so I snapped up the deal as I was after some new knives... now I have some cool ones!

Anyway I heard the offer closes tomorrow, but that's in my store, not sure if they're anywhere else.

People on MSE (moneysavingexpert) tell me this is a scam and the knife will go blunt!

I guess I will wait and find out myself...

If it is a Scam, Debenhams will need to have an answer if you end up with a blunt knife or several!
