My big knife

This is irreplaceable although some have tried and failed . .

It's a Sabatier carbon steel 9/10" cooks knife. One of my original college set (so it's 39 years old) It long ago lost the original handle so it's got a "temporary" one. The blade is so worn and thin that if you cut something too hard it is liable to snap a piece out of it, but it cuts bread beautifully and lots of other things too, and sharpens up a treat. I don't know how people manage without sharp knives q14
