FANCY SOME GINGERBREAD SO THOUGHT I'D FIND A RECIPE ONLINE....WILL LET U KNOW HOW THIS WORKS FOR ME....
2 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
I TEASPOON GINGER
I TEASPOON OF BAKING POWDER
1/4 TEASPOON CINNAMON
1/4 TEASPOON NUTMEG
1/4 CUP MARGERINE
1/4 CUP GOLDEN SYRUP
2 TABLESPOONS BROWN SUGAR
1POON WHITE SUGAR
1/4 CUP WATER
IN SMALL BOWL COMBINE FLOUR,GINGER AND SPICES,BAKING POWDER-SET ASIDE
IN SAUCEPAN MELT MARGE,SYRUP AND SUGAR ON LOW HEAT-STIR IN FLOUR MIXTURE N WATER UNTILL WELL BLENDED THEN CHILL 1 HR
PREHEAT OVEN 350 DEGREES AND ROLL OUT DOUGH TO 1/8 INCH THICKNESS
CUT COOKIES TO DESIRED SHAPE AND BAKE ON SHEET FOR 5-7 MINS....

| just to say this recipe works pretty well-though you may want to add a bit more ginger as i did.....couldn't find any gingerbread man cutters at tesco so ended up with winnie-the-pooh,piglet,tigger and eeyore shaped biscuits-lol |

| Think I will have a go making them. I'll probably add a bit more cinnamon, as I usually double the amount it says in a recipe. I love it. Think I'll get the cutters you got Sparky, sound nicer than gingerbread men. |

MMMMM I love ginger biscuits! Great for morning sickness :lol:

the winnie the pooh ones come out okay as do piglet but the eeyore and tigger ones don't look much like them when they're cut-but its a nice idea..... |

I've found that too with some cutters-have one of a cow, which always looks more like a sheep.
