|
|
We are having some friends over in a couple of weeks and its one of my (girl) friends birthday. I am going to make cupcakes for everyone and surprise her for her b'day.
If you seen / made any great ideas, let me know. Cant wait to get baking! I'd love one of these stands to put them all on too!

Great idea Laura, I've never made cupcakes but I will keep my eyes open...
I think there's a book about cupcakes, maybe I saw it on The Bookpeople, will go and have a look. _________________ Positive Change |

You could ice the cakes showing all your friends intials.
Or spelling out the birthday girls name, and or Happy Birthday.
Or a colour scheme.....black and white?
National flags (of course I am now imaging that you're very creative and skilled at icing ) _________________ http://positivechange.myfreeforum.org/index.php

Never iced in my life really, but I have some alphabet cookie cutters, so I thought I could spell out happy birthday sally with some of that roll out icing stuff.
I've seen a stand on ebay too, so might end up getting that. _________________ handmade by Laura Croxson |

Well I didn't have the time in the end to do the letters, but this is a small sample of some of the cakes. The first batch (pink and blue) got gobbled up yesterday before I could take any pics!
It was great fun - I could do this as a job!

I used the Nigella recipe for fairy cakes - so easy!
I used the instant royal icing and coloured it and add my own decroations.
