Some of you may be aware that we found out the other week there is a planned bypass for our town. wel they had 3 routes and the original one has been there for over 30 years, but now a developer has opposed it and the other two possible routes, 1 goes through the house and the other the middle of our farm.
Both of these would mean we would loose our home and buisness. They have said if the take land off you you will only be allowed for the ammount used as road not the bits used for verges which are huge and gigger than the road, nor for slip roads nor roundabouts.
Needless to say us and our neighbours are trying to fight it althoogh many have given up.
The stress has not helped my hubby and kids all whom have genetic heart disease. My daughter should also be studying for gcses instead of panicing as to if she has a home.
Sorry for prattling on, but I had to vent. _________________ love Carole xxxx |

Must be a difficult time Carole... will they not offer you enough money for you to move elsewhere? I don't know NI very well so not sure where you live exactly... sounds like a nightmare though, let us know how things progress. _________________ Positive Change |

Really hope that this can be resolved to your satisfaction. I can't imagine the trauma and stress of the threat of losing simultaneously your home and livelihhood.
My offer to come and lie down in front of the diggers if necessary still stands! |

| Unfortunately they can with a Compulsory Purchase Order. Physically moving someone is a different matter again. |

Good for you Carole. Really hope that you succeed and that your son is able to continue to work on the family farm, and you and your family have many, many more happy years together there.
