|
|
Ok I have finally got round to doing this... We don't have long as I really want the prizes to be sent to the winner for Christmas, so all you have to do is this...
Choose a Christmas related avatar (also food related would be better) and then post on this thread by Friday 7th December. Then a poll will be set-up to vote for the winner. Eeryone is eligible apart from me of course...
The prizes are couresty of Glynis who kindly donated them to me for this competition, so thanks Glynis!!
Don't Try This at Home: Culinary Catastrophes from the World's Greatest Cooks and Chefs (Hardcover)
Even the world's finest chefs and cooks have their off days. In "Don't Try This at Home", thirty-three chefs and food-writers talk about the times when it all went terribly wrong. There are stories about greedy pets, clumsy waiters and drunken maitre d's; the food that fails to arrive for a party, wedding cakes that disintegrate, the terrine that falls into a bowl of chocolate sauce. Then there are the rueful, embarrassed stories of errant youth. How the chefs manage to save the day is as entertaining as the disasters that strike them. Funny, cringe-making, and terribly reassuring "Don't Try This at Home" is a delicious reminder that even the chefs we most admire aren't always perfect.
Jamie's Christmas DVD
Does the thought of cooking Christmas dinner fill you with dread? Does it bring back memories of dry turkey or burnt carrots. If the answer is yes , then don't worry. This DVD will show you how to prepare in advance and how to cook on the day so that you get everything on the table , piping hot, at the same time. You'll find all the Christmas recipes that you need to make a lovely dinner, from my favourite turkey in all it's glory to a selection of veggies with flavoured butters. to the usual favourites like roast potatoes and parsnips. Includes 12 Recipe cards. DVD extra features include, Recipes from America, Getting your kitchen sorted , Turkey trimmings, Top tips for Christmas, Getting ahead on Christmas Eve.
De Kuyper Cocktail Masterclass DVD (mini)
This is a mini DVD I got with a magazine which I thought might be good, it's not even been opened. _________________ Positive Change

Yes why not. They have those layered pies, the name of which escapes me, so why not cranberries |
