I have high cholesterol!
I am quite young, not overweight, but my cholesterol insists on soaring up beyond healthy heights!
My wonderful nurse is reluctant to put on any tablets which is great, so I am trying to naturally lower it by eating some great low-cholesterol foods!
Any recipes and ideas are truly welcome :-) _________________ *Smile and the world smiles with you*

Hi - me too! It's in my family. My parents and grandparents all had high cholesterol. They are from Italy and have a mediteranian diet. Mine has been very high in past years (up to 9) but has come down to 6 and for me I am happy with that. I refuse to take the medication at my age. My diet has not really changed over the last 10 years and I dont understand the big change in cholesterol readings. _________________ handmade by Laura Croxson |

Phew up to 9! That's quite high indeed!
I have gradually reduced mine to 5.9 through diet. I'd like to get it a bit lower though and keep it low.
I have heard that pomegranites are good for lowering it. _________________ *Smile and the world smiles with you*

My level has just been put at 8 but the doctors believe it's hereditary because my diet is good.
I've started on the Flora pro active yoghurt drink to see if that helps and now use the carrob oil instead of olive oil. |

Eh, you are joking about the porridge and kipper soup I hope
I love Ready Brek and I know it's not as good as the real stuff but in theis weather it's lovely. |
