I am pleased with myself today. Have shopped in 3 different food shops, checking out prices.
Cooked out dinner, an easy one. And, whilst cooking dinner, did a big pan of chilli. Enough for 4 good servings. I used one of my big bags of frozen, pre cooked beans and lentils, I pack of frozen mince (French style, so very lean) 3 onions fried, 1 large tin of tomatoes, 5 cloves of garlic, loads of cumin, half a teaspoon of chilli and some salt.
Fried the onions and garlic, put to one side, browned the mince, added the beans, tomatoes and the other ingredients, mixed all together and cooked for 40 mins.
It's now all divided up, ready for the freezer, and one for tomorrow night.

Just 4 servings? That sounds like you could feed the 5000 with that amount... I use 500g of mince for my chilli's and I tend to get 4 servings out of that! _________________ Positive Change |
